Industry update
The IEA’s 2026 EV outlook describes home charging as the preferred option where available, alongside an important role for workplace and public charging.
INNOFLOW perspective
A residential parking area and a public charging station need different procurement briefs. Begin with who will use the site, how long vehicles stay and how many charging points may operate together.
Organise the discussion into site distribution, the AC supply and any DC output equipment. Use broad categories such as protection devices, isolators, contactors and meters before selecting specific models.
Questions for the project team
Confirm the supply capacity, charger requirements, environment and billing needs. Ask the designer to assess protection coordination and the applicable local requirements. A category illustration explains a function; it is not a construction drawing or evidence that every listed component suits every charger.
